Mr. George Leamon Lovejoy, age 70 of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2022, in Richmond. He was the son of the late Arthur Lee Lovejoy and Dorothy Hawthorne Lovejoy. He was married to LaDonna Louise Spinner-Lovejoy.

He was preceded in death by his father Arthur L. Lovejoy; two brothers, James Green and Nathan Green; and Howard N. Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory are a loving and devoted wife of 29 years, LaDonna  Spinner Lovejoy; a loving mother, Dorothy H. Moore;  five children, Maurice D. Lovejoy (Christine) of Roanoke, VA, Mateaia Y. Lovejoy of Charlotte, NC, Addison F. Thomas, III of Indiana, Kendra L. Stanfield of Waldorf, MD, and Kimberly M. Stanfield of Waldorf, MD; thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Regina Joyner of Greensboro NC and Frances Leonard (Raymond) of Atlanta GA; one brother, Clifton Lovejoy (Mary) of Montgomery, AL;  one cousin, Dorothy Hall (Edmond) of Daviston AL; two sisters-in-law, Jean Green of Roanoke, VA and Carolyn Green Seaberry (Willie) of Upper Marlboro, MD and a host of other relatives and friends.
