Ms. Gertrude Marshall McCoy, age 82 of Lynchburg, passed away on August 22, 2021 in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Lewis Marshall and Mrs. O'Neal Thomas Marshall.

She is survived by her children, Jacqueline T. McCoy of Mt. Ranier, Maryland,  Lawrence E. McCoy (Jacqueline D.) of Bowie, Maryland and Patrick B. McCoy (Dorthea) of Laurel, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Quintina, Keon, Brittney, Keyauna, Derek, Lawren, Tevin, Aaron and Brandon; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild;  her brother, Richard B. Marshall and a host of other relatives and friends.
