Mrs. Gladys Marie Herndon, age 65 of Nathalie, passed away on March 23, 2016 at her residence.  She was the daughter of Mr. Arberlie Waller and Mrs. Thelma Boyd Waller.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Clarence Jr. Herndon of the home; one son and three daughters, Darrius Waller of Baskerville, Va., Ann Herndon and JoAnn Waller (Mike), both of Nathalie, and Kisey Brown (Eldridge) of Brookneal; six grandchildren, DeShawndre Dunkley, Laquann Lynn, Kametrius Dunkley, Kambria Brown, Tynia Carrington, Jamiya Brown, and Aaliyah Brown; three great grandchildren, Miracle L. Dunkley, Aden Pamplin, and Ji'zyian Broggin; five sisters, Ann Poindexter (Harold) of Long Island, Va., Reva Monroe (Keith) of Nathalie, Hattie Waller of Vernon Hill, Va., Clara Sehen (Tim) of Roxboro, NC, and Stella Waller of West Virginia; three brothers, Alberlie Waller of South Carolina, Michael Waller of Lunenburg, Va., and Roscoe Waller (Priscilla) of Maryland; three aunts and one uncle, Betty Tucker (Carson), Surilla Miller, Lucille Anderson, and Joe Lewis, all of Virginia; three sister-in-law, Mary Johnson, Bette Hunt, and Judy Marshall; a goddaughter, Virginia Barbour (Thomas); three devoted friends, Dorothy Davis, Ora Graves, and Tony Adkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
