Mrs. Hattie Spencer Pugh, age 86 of Appomattox, passed away on March 2, 2023 in Farmville. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Willis Spencer and Mrs. Lena Thompson Spencer.  She was the wife of the late Mr. Wilbert Pugh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James, Willie Mae, Alfredrick, Lena Anne, Russell, and Phyllis.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Robinson (Vince), and Patricia Pugh; grandchildren, Kevin Allen, Sr., Derick (Cheryl) and Alquette; great grandchildren, Knovah, Kevin, Jr., Queshan, Shantae, Quemario, Tanae, Jakira and Rashan; sister, Annie Spencer Clark; two brothers, Theodore Spencer, Thomas Spencer (Mary) and Willis Spencer (Penny); sisters-in-law, Lucy Pugh Washington and Avon Pugh; and god child, Carmalita Escoto; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
