Helen Pauline Walker was born on January 22, 1935 in Appomattox, Virginia and called to her eternal rest on July 3, 2025 at the age of 90 at Fairmont Crossing Health and Rehab Center in Amherst, Virginia.

In her new life Helen will be welcomed at Heaven's door by her parents, William McKinley Austin and Mable Wheeler Austin; her husband, Thomas Henry Walker; two sons, Emmanuel Walker and Charles Walker; brothers, Samuel Austin, Sr., Colonel Austin; and sisters, Dorothy Pannell, Rena Watts, Mary Nelson and Thelma Hancock.

Helen was a member of Promise Land Baptist Church in Appomattox, VA and a homemaker. Helen will be remembered for her unwavering faith, lively spirit and sense of humor and sense of style.

She leaves behind to mourn three children, Samuel D. Walker, Tina R. Walker and Richard A. Walker (Tamika Nater); twenty-two grandchildren; great grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia (Patty), Frances, Louise, Nancy; and a brother Earl; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
