Henry James Powell, age 71 of South Boston, affectionately known as "Tolly" passed away on February 23, 2024 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late George Edward Powell, Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth Wylie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Wylie, Johnny Powell, and Norman Powell and Carolyn Lee Powell; and sister, Katrina Powell; and brother-in-law, Carnell Carrington.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his siblings, Georgie Powell, Lily Powell, George Powell, Jr., Marshello Carrington, Clyde Powell, Lawrence Powell, Reba Mosley and Josephine Powell; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Powell, and Minnie Wylie; devoted friend, Delores Woody and her daughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
