Mrs. Hilda Shepherd Johnson, age 80 of Charlotte Court House, died on April 14, 2020 in Lynchburg.  She was the daughter of the late Rev. Merle Shepherd and Mrs. Florence Whitlock Shepherd.  She was the wife of Joe Edward Johnson for sixty-two years.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilford Shepheard, G C Shepherd, and Calvin Shepherd; a sister, Linda Crouch; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Shepheard and Geneva Shepherd; and four brothers-in-law, Danny Crouch, Riley Barksdale, Wayne Conner, Don McCutcheon.

She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Johnson Gould; two grandchildren, Laura Gould Midkiff (Thomas) and Jessica Gould; three great grandchildren, Ian Wayne Wilmouth, Cameron Reed Wilmouth, and Avri Grace Midkiff; brothers, Julius Shepheard (Eleanor), Reuban Shepherd (Deanna), Joe Shepherd, and Lloyd Shepherd (Dianne); sisters, Chris McCutcheon, Eilene Conner, Dori' Kim (Rev. Myung), and Shirley Blanton (Nikki); two sisters-in-law, Martha Shepherd and Shirley Nichols; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
