Isaiah Steven Nichols, 21 of Newport News Virginia, departed this earthly life on February 14, 2026 in Newport News Va. He was born on October 26, 2004 in Danville Virginia, he was the son of Crystal Nichols and Jerome Scott.

"Zaih" as he was affectionately known was full of life and a hardworking young man. He loved to fish, skateboarding, animals and spending time with the people he loved.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Crystal Nichols of Newport News; father, Jerome Scott of Bedford; his sisters, Iyceis Bradley of Forest, Jaiden Scott, Jordyn Scott, and Jurnei Scott, all of Bedford, his nephews, Julian, Alyias, and Maddox of Bedford; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Oakley of Gretna; and paternal grandmother, Pamela Scott of Bedford; aunts, Jennifer Nichols of Lynchburg Va, Shanna Hunt of Clayton, NC, Tonjia Oakley and Latisha Canada, both of Altavista, Teresa Oakley (Wendell) of Bedford, Felicia Oakley of Staunton Va; uncles, Jermaine Thomas of Bedford, Troy Oakley of Lunenburg, Virginia, Christopher Adkins of Rustburg, Virginia and Kris Canada of Altavista Virginia; a very close friend, Tye Swain of Gretna Va; a god-sister, Makajha Lewis of Hampton Va; and his baby Poppy, (his dog) that he loved dearly; and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
