Reverend Jack Lewis Jones, age 77 of Altavista, passed away on June 17, 2024 at his residence. He was the son of the late Victor Jones and Mary Younger Jones. He was the husband of Sharon Robinson Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lettie Pullen and two brothers, Victor John Henry Jones, Jr. and Reverend Jerry Eugene Jones.

Reverend Jack Lewis Jones is survived by his wife, Sharon Robinson Jones; four children, Stephon Jones of Raleigh, NC, Vincent Avery of Raleigh, NC, Jawan Jones (Trynequa) of Raleigh, NC, and Terry Johnson of Lynchburg, VA; a step-daughter, Tisha Braxton Smith (Marcus) of Chester, VA, William Jones of Bedford, VA (who was like a son), Tonya Jones of Altavista, VA (who was like a daughter-in-law); eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Jones (Carolyn) of Lynchburg, VA; sisters-in-law, Emma Jones of Greensboro, NC, Shirley Haskins, Carolyn Pannell (Tom), and Vivian Davis all of Phenix, VA; brothers-in-law, Wayne Robinson (Vondra) of Richmond, VA, and Luther Robinson, Jr. (Estelle) of Appomattox; VA,  and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
