Jackie Albert Jennings, age 78 of Forest, passed away September 7, 2023, at Heritage Hall Rehabilitation in Brookneal.

He was born on July 24, 1945 to the late Llewellyn Nelson (Chet) Jennings and Eleanor Cobb Jennings.

Dad served in US Army in Vietnam until his Honorable discharge in 1967. That is when he met the love of his life, Sandra H. Jennings. They were married for 56 years. Dad was always willing to help those in need, opening his home to anyone needing a warm place to stay. Eventually, becoming Foster Parents through the court, they became the proud foster parents to Cathy, Anthony, Michelle & Chris. Still wanting to give back, Dad Joined Campbell County

Volunteer Rescue Squad, where he served Bedford & Campbell Counties for 16 years as a Shock Trama Tech. He never missed an opportunity to be on Standby at Jefferson Forest Home Football games.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in- law, Michelle P Jennings.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Sandra Mae Jennings; two sons, Christopher of Forest  & Patrick of Spout Springs, and daughter Shannon Hudson (Jeff Shupe) of Brookneal; grandchildren, Scott Jennings, Jacob (Amber) Hudson, Jesse ( Vanessa) Jennings, Shyan (David) Sherlin, Cameron Jennings,  Peyton & Addison Jennings; great grandchildren, Fiona (Alonte) Hayes, Eden, Asher, Jacob Jr, Riker, Freyja, Trent, Willow and Scarlet; brother, Keith Jennings; and a host of other relatives.
