James Orange Jennings, also known as "Hot Papa" or "Jimmy" age 78, passed away on February 28, 2025 in Danville. He was born June 27, 1946 to the late Orange Jennings and Grace Lucille Dennis Jennings.

He is survived by wife, Louvener Jennings of the home; his sons, James Kerwin Jennings (Audrea) of Bonaire, GA and Eric Jennings of Lynchburg; stepchildren, Perry Jennings (Tawanda) and Latesha Jennings; grandchildren, James Jennings of Washington State, Alexian Isaac of Bonaire, GA, Kyree Joshua Jennings of Appomattox, Jasmine Jennings of Lynchburg, and Christopher Jennings of Midlothian, VA; step-grandchildren, Quindarius Jennings and Tyree Taylor; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Garner and Wanda Brown of Nathalie, Virginia and Pauline Foster of Richmond, Virginia; brothers, Roderick Jennings, Mitchell Jennings (Yvonne) and Elvin (Sharon), all of Nathalie; sisters-in-law, Joyice Boyd, Patricia Williams, Carolyn Jones, and Queen Boyd; brothers-in-law, Lorrence Boyd, Sam M. Boyd (Lula) and James Boyd;  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
