James Rogers, Jr. age 51 of Roanoke, passed away on April 19, 2024 in Roanoke. He was the son of James Rogers, Sr. and Patricia Spinner.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cleo Rogers; uncle, Tony Pannell; aunt, Hazel Spraggins; nephew, Ethan Pannell; and cousins, Eric Bates, and Gabby Pannell.

He is survived by his wife, LaTonya Morton Rogers of Roanoke; his children, Tanequah Rose and Walter Franklin of Roanoke and Delonta Rose of Brookneal; nine grandchildren; his parents, James Rogers, Sr. of Brookneal and Patricia Pannell Spinner of Brookneal; sister, Meredith Petty of Lynchburg; brothers, John Lenwood Rogers of Brookneal, and Brad Elam of Smith Mountain Lake; step-sister, Karla Reeves of Brookneal; father-in-law, Hugh Smith, Sr. of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Shakquira Branch of New Jersey, Angie Green of Brookneal, and Michelle Staten of Roanoke; brothers-in-law, Hugh Smith, Jr. of New Jersey, Quan of New Jersey and Tyrone Brogdon of Roanoke; best friend, John Scott of Brookneal; and a host of other relatives and friends.
