Janie Marie Brown, age 65 of Naruna, passed away on February 2, 2024 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of Pauline Nowlin and the late  Bryant Melvin Nowlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "CB" Brown; two children, Candis Brown and Andre' Brown; grandmother, Mother, Rissie C. Robey; and grandfathers, Clarence Tweedy and George Robey.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew Brown (Catherine) of Appomattox and Daniel Brown of Naruna; granddaughters, Ruth and Kayley Brown of Appomattox; her mother, Mrs. Pauline T. Nowlin of Naruna; sister, Lona N. Younger of Naruna; three brothers, Bryant Nowlin, Jr. (Yvonne) of Colonial Heights, VA, and Paul and Charles of Naruna; two sisters-in-law, Lynette Bounty (Ezel) and Paulette Brown of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and aunt, friends.
