Mrs. Janice Fears Singleton, age 60 of Smithfield, North Carolina passed away on December 6, 2021, in Smithfield, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Fears and Margaret Walker Fears.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Singleton; sister, Virginia Fears; granddaughter, Carleigh Singleton; brothers-in-law, Ray Angel, and Edgar Lee Brightwell; sister-in-law, Margaret Brightwell.

She is survived by her children, Ashley Yarborough (Blair) of Smithfield, NC, Blaire Jarrett (Stan) of Ridgeway, VA, and step-son, Jerry Singleton (Sherri) of Nathalie; four grandchildren, Cadyn Singleton of Smithfield, Brenna Light and Rylie Jarrett of Ridgeway and Ross Singleton of Nathalie; one great-grandchild; brothers, Joe Fears and Donnie Fears of Brookneal; sisters-in-law, Patricia Ashworth, Lois Singleton; brothers-in-law, Donald Angel and Ronald Angel; and a host of other relatives and friends.
