Jeremy Scott Merricks, age 48 of Brookneal, passed away on August 15, 2025 in Louisa, Virginia. Jeremy was born on December 29, 1976 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to David M. Merricks and the late Margaret Young Merricks of Tennessee.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Willie Scott Merricks; and grandfather, David Lee Merricks.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison Nicole Merricks of Scottsville; father, David M. Merricks and wife, Lynn of Brookneal; grandparents, Lesley and Pat Young of Sod, Tennessee and Annie R. Merricks of Brookneal; and many cousins and family.
