Joanne Vaughters Wilborn, age 67 of Saxe, Virginia, passed away on August 28, 2026 in South Boston, Virginia. She was the daughter of Joseph Alfred Vaughters and Annie Ruth Mosley Vaughters. 

In addition to her father, Joseph A. Vaughters, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sherwood A. Vaughters.

Joanne leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband, Joe (her Boo); son, Joseph Jr., A.K.A. Joey (Apple) of South Boston, VA; daughter, Jennifer (Jamal) of Raleigh, NC; mother, Pastor Annie Vaughters of Saxe, VA; five grandchildren, Jayveon, Raiyana, Anthony, Taj and Samiya; sisters, Jackie of Richmond, VA, Tiffany (Hassan) of Randolph, VA; brothers, Stanley (Wanda) of Clover, VA, Marvin (Blanche) of Red Oak, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
