Joe Edward "Joe Ed" Johnson, 89, of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on June 26, 2025.

Born on April 18, 1936, to Milton and Lucy Johnson, Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was married to the late Hilda S. Johnson for 63 wonderful years, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and shared values.

Joe Ed was a faithful member of Phenix United Methodist Church, where he found strength and fellowship in his later years. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

He is survived by his daughter, Dolores Gould; granddaughters, Laura Midkiff (Thomas) and Jessica Gould; and great-grandchildren, Ian, Cameron, and Avri. He also leaves behind his sister, Shirley Nichols, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Joe Ed lived a simple, meaningful life guided by faith and care for others. He found great joy in time spent with family, and his gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
