Deacon John Richard Mosby, Sr. transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born May 4, 1933 to the late James White and Tamer Johnson Mosby. He was married to the late Mrs. Doreathia B. Mosby.

Deacon Mosby leaves to cherish his legacy, seven devoted children, Missionary Audrey Mosby, Miss Dareane Mosby, Deacon John R. Mosby, Jr. (Ruby), Deacon Reggie Mosby, Sr. (Debbie) Mr. Dexter Mosby (Bernadette), Evangelist Karen Gamble (James), and Mr. Fitzgerald Mosby (Shantelle); grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; a devoted brother, Matthew Aquila Mosby (Marion); loving sister-in-law, Lady Marie Mosby, brothers-in-law, Mr. Warren Dennis Younger, Sr. (Geraldine) and William Flamer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, relatives and friends.
