Josephine Jones, age 54 of Lynchburg, passed away on June 3, 2023 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Betty Pollard Jones and  Joe Louis Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Itesha Jones; niece, Quashay Bank; and nephews, JaQuan Jones and Jermaine Jones.

She is survived by her son, Davondo Jones; sisters, Barbara Haley (James) of Brookneal, Francis Mitchell (Roy) of Prospect, Ethel Styles of Lynchburg, and Lois Jones of Hopewell; brother, Marcus Oliver (Carylon) of Lynchburg; four bonus sisters, Toni Pollard of Lynchburg, Vicki Coles  of Hopewell, Towanda Coles of Petersburg and Lois Coles of Florida; one bonus brother, Vincent Coles of Prospect; three aunts, Mary Wright, Ellen Jennings and Betty Younger; a devoted lovely niece, Latosha Palmer; one devote friend, Rose Wheeler; a devoted friend of thirty-one years, Dean Palmer; two loving extended families, the Coles Family of Prospect and the Wright family of Prospect; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
