Mrs. Joyce Teresa Coleman Brogden, age 48 of Brookneal, departed this life on March 1, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on February 26, 1976 to the late John Coleman and Josephine Christine Barksdale Coleman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lilly Brogden.

She is survived by her husband, Lorenzo Brogden of Brookneal; daughter, Jasmine Brogden of Brookneal; sisters, Naomi Coleman of Lynchburg, Faye Brogden (Jerome) of Brookneal, Frances Coleman and Shirley Coleman, both of Appomattox, Edith Garrett (Bill) of Halifax and Dephine Davis (Ted) of Aspen; father-in-law, George Brodgen of Charlotte Court House;  brothers-in-law, Kenneth McIvor (Marilyn) of Red House, Glenn Brogden (Fonda) of Lynchburg; sisters-in-law, Mary Shuford of Drakes Branch, Joyce Ann Brogden (Ronnie) and Patsy Brogden (Cornell), both of Phenix, Louise McCargo (Tony) of Drakes Branch, and Teresa Brogden of Red House; and a host of other relatives and friends.
