Mrs. Joyce Walker Coles, age 66 of Pamplin, passed away on January 17, 2023 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late Mr. James Moore, Sr. and Alice Wheeler Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Sinclair A. Walker (Rosalind)  Monroe VA; a daughter, Jennifer L. Jones (Dwight), Rustburg VA; eight grandchildren, Monique Hanson, Sinclair Walker, Jr., James Buchanan, Nadira J. Walker, Takya Saunders, Dante' R. Jones, Jaylin W. Jones, and Destiny L. Jones; two great grandchildren, Marcus and Xnyla; three sisters, Dr. Alice M. Thompson (Dr. Levester) of Jarratt, VA, Elder Pearl M. Bailey (Deacon John) of Lynchburg VA., and Ms. Bessie Payne, Boston Mass.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Barbara B. Moore; two aunts, Evangelist Eula Jean Moore, and Ms. Shirley B. Wheeler, one uncle, Mr. Edward C. Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including one BEST friend who preceded her in death, Mrs. Glenda Vaughan and numerous cousins.
