Ms. Joyce Elaine Elam, age 75 of Brookneal, passed away on December 6, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Walter Elam and Emma Marshall Elam.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Percell Elam and William Elam; and sister-in-law, Susan Elam.

She leaves behind her son, Shea Elam-Henley of Dallas, TX, her pride and joy that she was so proud of; brother, Robert Elam (Charmaigne) of Brookneal; adopted brother, Preston Elam (Vena) of Brookneal; sister-in-law, Mildred Elam of Lynchburg; devoted nephews, Randy, Vince, Vernon, Corey, Robert, Jr. and Troy; nieces, Lolita, Queenie, June and Chante'; great nieces and nephew, Amber, Ashley and her cooking buddy, Ahmya, and Ryan; and a village of cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
