Mrs. Juanita Walker Poe, age 92 of Brookneal, passed away on January 3, 2022, in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of Henry Jones and Lena Katherine Walker Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee Poe; one son, Jimmy Poe; two sisters, Barbara McBride and Dorth-Ann Haynes; brother, Roosevelt Walker.

She is survived by her five children, Edward Jr. Poe, William Poe, James Poe, Audrey Garner, and Arnita McCargo; six grandchildren, Romecia Poe, Tyronika Poe, James R. Poe, Darnell Garner, Brittney Garner, and William B. Poe; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, James Walker; son-in-law, Kermit McCargo; sister-in-law, Corrine Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
