Julius "Fatso" Osmund Monroe, age 71 of Lynchburg, passed away on April 12, 2024 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Charlie T. Monroe and Christine Pugh Monroe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Archie Monroe, and Charlie Leon Monroe; and sister, Doris Kay Monroe.

He is survived by his son, Justin (Amber) of Alexandria; sisters, Gloria Jean Slayton of Halifax, and Virginia Monroe of Charlotte, NC; brother, Julian Monroe of Lynchburg; companion, Bernice McCoy of Lynchburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
