Mr. Kenneth Black, age 76, of Nathalie,  passed away in Lynchburg on Friday, October 29, 2021.  He was the son of the late Mr. George Black and Mrs. Mary Boyd Black and the husband of the late Mrs. Barbara Jean Barksdale Black.

Those left to cherish his memories, his three children: Anthony Black and Kenneth "Tic" Black of the home and Sharonette "Nikki" Black-Wade (Wendell) of Brandywine, MD; five grandchildren: Marqarita "Shae" Sanford, Nahajje "Hajje" Johnson, Omar Terry, Jamar Terry and Nygee Terry; two great-grandchildren: O'Riyon Gregory and Prince Omiir Gregory; five brothers: George Black (Adriann) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Dennis Marable (Joan) of South Boston, VA, Larry Marable (Lois) of Long Island, VA, Phillip and William Lovelace both of Concord, VA; four sisters: Debra Carr (James) of Nathalie, VA, Carolyn Monroe (Robert) of Connecticut, Joyce Jones (Jeff) of Brookneal, VA, Florine Gilbert (Charlie) of Naruna, VA; four sisters-in-law, Edith Black of Nathalie, VA, Linda Barksdale of Lanham, MD, Joyce Barksdale of Richmond, VA, Betty Barksdale of Binghamton, NY; one brother-in-law, Roy Farmer of New Castle, DE; a devoted niece but a sister, Victoria Penn; a devoted niece "his nurse" Betty Barbour Tune; a devoted aunt, Mrs. Sallie Boyd; a devoted friend, Tom Gilbert; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Terry; two brothers, Marvin Black and Harry Black (Gloria); one sister, Barbara Jones (Randy).
