Mr. Kevin Byrd AKA Hamed El Bey, age 56 of Gladys, passed away on September 5, 2021 in Durham, NC.  He was the son of the late Mr. Jessie Leon Gravitt and Ms. Nellie Byrd.  He was married to Mrs. Patricia Price Byrd.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Price-Byrd; his daughter, Keturah Price-Byrd; his son, Jeremiah Byrd; one sister, Barbara Townes of Suffolk; two brothers, David Byrd (Michelle) and Quentin Byrd, both of Nathalie; three aunts, Caroline Hart (Robert), Irene Oliver and Anna Cook (Sonny); three uncles, John Dixon, Addie Jones and Michael Byrd; and a host of other relatives and friends.
