Lawrence Braxton, age 86 of Brookneal, passed away on January 31, 2024 at Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was born on April 26, 1937 to the late Lawson Braxton and Dorothy Daniels Slaughter.

He is survived by three children, Karen Braxton and Wanda Randolph, both of Brookneal, and Joseph Walker of Maryland; ten grandchildren; host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Braxton of Red House and Delores Ashford of Arizona; two brothers, Tony Braxton of Red House  and Carroll Braxton of Florida; goddaughter, Laverne Canada; sisters-in-law, Agnes Hubbard of Washington, DC, Celia Broggin of Lynchburg, and Veronica Hargrove of Upper Marlboro, MD; brothers-in-law, Warren Broggin of Lynchburg and Clarence Hargrove of Upper Marlboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.
