Mr. Leon Samuel Scott, age 60, entered into eternal rest after a long illness on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the son of the late Samuel Booker Scott and Lona Davis Scott.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Hairston; and two brothers, James and William Scott.

He is survived by one daughter, LaToya Kirkland of Lynchburg, VA; one granddaughter, Angel Pennix of Lynchburg, VA; one brother-in-law, Rev. Bobby Hairston of Nathalie, VA; one sister-in-law, Betty Scott of Rustburg, VA; three aunts, Claris Scott of Nathalie, VA, Adell Davis of Brookneal, VA, and Emma Davis of Washington, DC; one nephew, William Orlando Scott (LaKisha) of Charlottesville, VA; one niece, Elissa Y. Hairston, of Natalie, VA; three great-nieces and nephews, Alonda, Tyree, and Jaquan, all of Charlottesville, VA; a devoted caregiver, Melinda Kirkland of Lynchburg, VA; and a host of cousins and friends.
