Leora Patten Collier Newman, age 87 of Appomattox, passed away on June 26, 2025 at her  residence. She was the daughter of the late George and Julia Patten.

in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Ervis, Edward, Renee, and Walter; nine siblings. Thomas, Ella, Martha, Carrie, Annie, Rozell, Georgia (Nick), Arlena, and Mae Julia.

She leaves to morn her children, Brenda Karl (Babe), Belinda (Johnny), and Henry Wayne; grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and friends.
