Mr. Less Ross Forrest, age 85 of Brookneal, passed away on August 18, 2023 in Clarksville. He was the son of the late Deacon Johnnie P. Forrest and Tomato Jackson Forrest.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Barksdale; his brother, James Forrest; and cousin and best friend, Henry Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Frances Forrest of the home; loyal daughter, Yolanda Boyd (Tremayne) of Scottsburg; sisters, Joyce Halloway (Jeremiah) of Nathalie, Shirley Jackson (Raymond) of Washington, DC and Gloria Taylor (Joseph) of Fort Washington, MD; brothers, Mitchell Forrest (Grace) of Seat Pleasant, MD; Johnnie Forrest (Sandra Rice) of Lynchburg; sisters-in-law, Vivian Forrest of Nathalie, Lelia Cauthen of Seat Pleasant, MD; brothers-in-law, John Garner (Melrose) of Hyattsville, MD, Dodie Garner, McArthur Garner and Charles Garner, all of Washington, D.C.; friends and cousins, Jerry Hubbard, William Jennings and Alberta Hunter; and  a host of nieces, nephews,   cousins and other relatives and friends.
