On Thursday, November 19th, 2020, Mr. Lewis Marshall, Jr. age 85 of Altavista, VA, peacefully and quietly passed away in Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. He was the son of the late Mr. Louis Marshall, Sr. and Mrs. O'Neal Thomas Marshall.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Adelle Gilbert Marshall; one brother, Rafus Marshall.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his four children, Michael Marshall of Washington, DC, Ricky Marshall of Altavista, VA, Carolyn Covington (Connell) of Raleigh, NC, Vanessa Jones (Leroy) of Rustburg, VA.; one brother, Richard [Bradley) Marshall (Christine) of Clinton, MD; one sister, Gertrude Marshall McCoy of Lynchburg, VA.; six sisters-in-law, Estelle Haskins, Christine Marshall, Betty Venable, Margaret Flood, Mildred Brogden, Eleanor Brogdon; four brothers-in-law, Lewis (Johnnie) Gilbert, James (King) Gilbert, Charles (Charlie) Gilbert, Conwell Flood; six grandchildren, Denise Covington, Greer Gladney, Justin Covington, Kendall Marshall (Domonique), Julian Marshall, Andrew Covington; four great-grandchildren, Trinity, Jaiden, Miracle, and Kendall (KJ) Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special people, in his most recent life, caregiver, Gail (Skinnie) Denson, niece Cassandra (Sandy) Marshall, niece Tonya (Boo) Ligon.
