Linda Fay Vassal, age 70 of Gladys, passed away on January 11, 2026 in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late George Bane  Vassal and Rosa Charlton Vassal.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carlton Vassal and Aubrey Vassal.

She is survived by her son, La Royal Vassal of Gladys; three grandchildren, Elijah Vassal and Makeda Vassal, both of Lynchburg; Moses Vassal of Gladys; sister, Shirley Adams of Gladys; brothers, Vernon Vassal and Ronnie Cleve Vassal, both of Gladys; devoted friend, Vernard Swinney of Madison Heights; and a host of other relatives and friends.
