In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Boyd, Frank Boyd, and John R. Boyd; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Boyd and brother-in-law, Arthur Taylor.

She is survived by two daughters, Lora Miller and Holly Washington Matthews (Joseph), both of Farmville, VA; three  granddaughters, Shannon (Lamont), Keasha and Alaiza; one grandson, Delontae; one great-grandson, EJ; one great granddaughter, Ani; one sister, Mary J. Taylor of Fort Washington, MD; five brothers, Lewis Boyd (Charlotte) and George Boyd (Geneva) of Oxon Hill, MD, James Willie Boyd (Gracie) of Nathalie VA, Wesley Connell Boyd (Deborah) of Lynchburg, VA and Eugene Boyd of Gladys, VA; sister-in-law, Thelma Boyd of Halifax, VA; three aunts, Sally Hamlett of Landover, MD, Loretta Trent of Temple Hills, MD, and Catherine Jackson of Phenix, VA; one uncle, Robert Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
