Mrs. Lucy Crews Freeman, age 91 of Nathalie passed away peacefully on November 17, 2009 at Stratford Healthcare Center in Danville. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Clem Crews and Mrs. Martha Davis Crews and was married to the late Mr. Samuel Lee Freeman. Mrs. Freeman is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vernessia Woody (Arnold) and Mrs. Conchitte Williams (Jerry), all of Danville, and Mrs. Evelyn McGowens of Richmond; three sons, Mr. Roland Freeman of Glassboro, NJ, Mr. Milton Freeman of Danville, and Mr. Sherman Freeman of Nathalie; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Hamlett (Charlie) of Brookneal and Mrs. Nannie Carter of Albany, NY; two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
