Mrs. Manie Lillian Jones, age 62 of Drakes Branch, passed away on January 27, 2022 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Brooks, Sr. and Bertha Banks Brooks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Lee and Leslie Ontre'; two brothers, Edward Leroy, Jr. and George Carl Brooks; four brothers-in-law, George and Troy Prophet, and Bennett Thompson and Ralph Wilson.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-five years, Ronald Jones, Sr.; two sons, Ronald W. Jones, Jr of Crewe and Marcus Antonio Jones of the home; one step-daughter, Angie Kirby of South Boston; four grandchildren; six sisters, Mary Frances Crawley of Washington, DC, Gracie Thompson of Drakes Branch, Mattie Oliver (Willie) of Chase City, Margaret Walker and Joyce Parker (Mills), both of Keysville, and Sandra Brooks of Saxe; two brothers, Larry Brooks, Sr. of Washington, DC and Arthur Mosley of Richmond; four brothers-in-law, Arnold Jones of Keysville, Bonnie Prophet (Sarah) of Drakes Branch, Lyndon Prophet of Saxe, and Roger Prophet of Clarksville; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Henry (Greg) of Clover, Annie Prophet-Palmer (Donald) of Scottsville, GA and Elizabeth Prophet of Keysville; two aunts, Alice Novella Brooks of Keysville and Sally Morgan of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
