Marion Armistead Mosby, age 88 of Brookneal, passed away on February 3, 2026 in Altavista, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Reafus Lee Armistead and Gladys Pannell  Armistead.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Mosby, Sr.; son, Matthew A. Mosby, Jr.; sisters, Mattie Lovelace, Mabel Callaham, Connie Louise Wiley and Lona Scott; and grandson, Ryan O'Neal.

She is survived by her children, Dinah Marie Jackson (Charles), Roxie Stone, Annette Cleveland; bonus daughter, Dorothy Baker (Herman); twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Foster, Mary Lee Hunter and Annie Bell Randolph; brother, Reafus Lee Armistead, III; devoted sister-in-law, Laverne Canada; devoted friend, Janice Hendricks and Deloris Mason and Mollie Pennix; and a host of other relatives and friends.
