Mrs. Mary Madalene Boyd, age 77 of Nathalie, passed away on August 24, 2023 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Dave Graves and Sylvia Carr.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; two aunts, Ida Lane and Willie Mae Dews; one uncle, Alvin Carr; and one brother-in-law, James R. Davis.

She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories her children, Ronnie L. Boyd (Felice), Wayne C. Boyd, and Mary J. Jones, all of Nathalie; four grandchildren, Terrell Carr (Victoria) of Long Island, VA, Wayne Clayton (Jackie) of South Boston, LaMorrris Jones (Janelle) and LaMoria Jones, both of Lynchburg; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Davis of Nathalie and Gladys Carr of South Boston, one brother,  James Carr (Nancy) of North Carolina; two aunts, Beverly Hall (MacArthur) of Long Island and Diane Hayes of Philadelphia; one uncle, Lewis Carr (Ruth) of Altavista; five sisters-in-law, Sallie Boyd, Dorothy Boyd and Vanester Boyd, all of Nathalie, Nancy Palmer of Fort Washington, MD and Mary Lucille of Altavista; one brother-in-law, John Bailey of Gladys; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
