Mrs. Mary Melvina Morton, age 91 of Charlotte Court House, passed away on May 19, 2022 in Keysville. She was the daughter of the late James Terry and Esther Brown Terry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Morton, Jr.; her daughter, Ruby Mae Morton; two sisters, Ella Morton and Susie T. Lindsey; and brother, James Terry.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Russell Morton III (Pauline) of Charlotte Court House and Mary M. Smith (George) of Victoria; two brothers, George Edward Terry, Sr. and Joseph Henry Terry; one stepbrother, Albert Walker; five sisters-in-law, Florence Lockett, Lizzie Ann Terry, Gladys, Valarie and Rosa Morton; one brother-in-law, Robert D. Morton; grandchildren, Ronald, Jeffrey, Russell IV, Christopher G. Smith, Kenya J. Morton and Monica E. Jackson (Scott); twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
