Mary Skates Clark, age 76 of Phenix, passed away April 23, 2024 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edward Winston Skates and Mirtie Brogdon Skates. She was married to Richard Harrison Clark.

In addition to her parents, those who preceded her in death were her daughter, Brenda Lee Clark-Smith, her siblings, Benny Lee Skates, Josephine Dews, David Skates, Ruth Clark, James (Bimbo) Skates and Jerry (Sugarfoot) Skates.

Mary Ann leaves to cherish her husband of 58 years, Richard Clark  children, Leslie Clark (Debreta), Diane Smith (Pastor John), Charles Clark (Patricia) and Robert Clark; grandchildren, Oneisha, Dominique, Nicole, Jeremiah, Charles Jr., Chris, SheMena, Cornelius, Tywanna, Teson and Cianna; three sisters, Minnie Clark, Dora Rose and her special sister/caregiver, Lucille Hancock; brother, Stanley Skates (Jeanette); sisters-in-law, Cheryl Skates, Gloria Ghoston, Margaret Skates, Dorothy Booth (Leroy), Cora Pannell, Elaine Clark and Mary Ferrell; brothers-in-law, Earl Clark (Velma) and Dewey Bolling; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
