Maxine Odessa
Yuille
June 5, 1944 – June 15, 2023
Maxine Odessa Yuille, age 79 of Rustburg, passed away on June 15, 2023 in Lynchburg. She was born on June 5, 1944 in Amherst County to the late Mr. Howard Randolph and Mrs. Alice Rucker Randolph. She was married to Rev. Leonard L. Yuille.
Maxine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. To know her was to love her. She loved to read her bible. Her favorite verse was John 14:1-4.
She was a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Brookneal, Va. She retired from Mail America in Forest, Va. Before retiring, she enjoyed being involved with her sisters in Christ with an organization of minister's wives and minister's widows. She was the first lady of many churches. Her favorite place was being at home caring for her husband and daughters.
She loved providing traditional meals for her family. Her husband made sure she was treated as a queen every day. He gave her flowers while she lived. Every month, he bought her beautiful arrangements. You would never see Mrs. Yuille without Rev. Yuille. She stayed on the right side of her husband. Her philosophy was "ask God and He will guide you". Mrs. Yuille will be missed.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband of 59 years, Rev. L. L. Yuille of Rustburg; three daughters, Patricia '"Pat" Yuille and Linda "Lin" Yuille of Rustburg, and Jennifer "Baby Girl" Yuille-Love of Lynchburg; a loving grandson and granddaughter, she loved dearly, Armond and Acacia Love of Lynchburg; sisters and brothers, George (Fannie) Randolph, Cleven (Gaynell Ferris) Randolph, Howard Jr. (Ruth) Randolph, Lorraine Randolph, and Estelle (Samuel) Johnson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ollie Mae Smith, Phyllis (Robert) Hubbard, Frances Dyke, Josie Whitson, Shirley Yuille, and Henry (Rev. Brenda) Yuille; and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
