Obituary

Mr. Michael Antione Walker, affectionately known as "Bug", age 60 of Rustburg,  departed this life on January 23, 2020 in Lynchburg, VA. He was born on January 26, 1959 to Ms. Odessa Walker.

He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Sallie and David Walker; devoted cousin, Carolyn Carter; brother-in-law, Samuel Elam, and other cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He began attending church at an early age and became a member of the Greenspring Baptist Church in Brookneal, VA. During his early years, he was educated in the Campbell County Public School System. As an adult, he went on to work for the Burruss Company.

Bug made himself known to many and was eager to give a smile and a joke to anyone he encountered. He was surrounded by many who loved him, including devoted cousins who assisted him during his time of illness; a very special thanks to Vera, Clarence and Margaret, Billie, Donnie, and Felicia. His absence will forever place a void in all our hearts.

He leaves behind, his sister, Priscilla Walker Elam of Brookneal; nieces, Angela Walker of Brookneal and Michelle Elam of Maryland; a nephew, André Walker of Brookneal; and a host of cousins and close family-friends.
