Mildred Ann Daniels Hamlett, age 77 of Red House, passed away on November 11, 2023 in Red House. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lenwood Daniels and Orea Lee Robinson Daniels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sallie H. Ward; and three brothers, Walter Linwood (Mary) Daniels, Jr., James Carl Daniels, and Roger Phillip Daniels.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 57 years, Lieutenant Hamlett, Sr., of Red House, Virginia, daughter, Tammy (Roland) Jefferson of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Lieutenant Hamlett, Jr., of Temple Hill, Maryland; Ronald (Bonnie) Hamlett of Gladys, Virginia; Anthony Hamlett of Red House, Virginia; adopted son, Marvin Hamlett of Red House, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren, Katrina, Bryant, Tamika, Shanae (Jacques), James, Kameron, Lt. Tyrese, Shronda, Rondell, Angela, Maya, Jalisa (Brandon), Destiny, Mariah, Desire, and Diamond; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Leroy) Ransome of Roanoke, Maudestine (Willie) Hendricks of Chesterfield, Linda (James) Ferguson of Evergreen, Ivy Haskins of Baltimore, Maryland, Nancy (Paul) Napier of Red House, Patricia (Jonathan) Ferguson of Evergreen, and Cheryl (Vincent) Elam of Pamplin, Virginia; sister-in-law, Maude Hamlett of New York, New York; brother-in-law John (Marion) Hamlett of Lynchburg, Virginia; special friends, Linda and Stanley Chambers; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
