June Claiborne, age 71 of South Boston, passed away on March 4, 2025 in South Boston. She was the daughter of the late Stonewall Jackson Claiborne and Hallie Beatrice Duncan Claiborne.

Her love will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her,  her beloved, children of the heart and dedicated caregivers; Kevin (Ollie) Gosier, Jeremy Gosier, Yolander Gosier, Jacquetta K. Cobbs (Bryant), and Kameryn, Jerry (Delores) Claiborne,  LaTonya Claiborne Williams and Shawnda Claiborne; nephews and nieces, John, Michael (Sandra), Jackson (Teresa), Mark (Keionna), Ryan, Jomo (Cheryl), Klint (Ferneica), Don (Domonique), Donna, Peggy, Chandra, and Ashton Claiborne; many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; foster cousins, Clemelee Scott, Inez Oatis, and Milton Duncan; two aunts Mrs. Thelma Claiborne of Carrollton, GA, and Mrs. Agnes Smith of Las Vegas, NV; special cousins Vanessa Ragsdale and Dr. Vanessa AlRashida; other very special children of the heart; Cassie Ragsdale-Sutphin, Stephanie Hughes-Clayton and Ricky Hughes; two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Rosetta Claiborne; god sisters, Minister  Kathy, Gayle and Stephanie Hubbard; god brothers, Jerome, and Jesse Hubbard; a very special neighbor, Miss Louise Martin, special friends Stephanie Bryant, Bishop Brennetta, Lisa and many cousins, relatives, and friends, and the many many children of the heart that she taught in school, the community and church.
