Minnie Pearl Skates Clark, age 84 of Lynchburg, passed away on August 20, 2025 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edward Winston Skates and Myrtie Broggin Skates.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Benjamin Skates, Josephine Dews, David Skates, Ruth Clark, James (Bimbo) Skates, Mary Ann Clark, and Jerry (Sugar Foot) Skates.

Minnie leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Carol "Jeannie" Clark of Austin, Texas, Hope Womack of the home, Carl Clark (Rose) of Portland, Oregon, Theresa Palmer of Lynchburg and Christine Clark of Brookneal; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two sisters, Dora Rose and Lucille Hancock; one brother, Stanley Skates (Jeanette); sisters-in-law, Cheryl Skates, Gloria Ghoston, Margaret Skates, Dorothy Booth (Leroy), Cora Pannell, Elaine Clark and Mary Ferrell; brothers-in-law, Richard Clark, Earl Clark (Velma) and Dewey Bolling; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
