Mr. Murrel David Marshall, Jr. age 65 of Lynchburg, passed away on January 9, 2022 at his residence. He was the son of the late Mr. Muriel Marshall, Sr, and Alma Lockett Baker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Robinson Baker, Sr. "Boone."

He is survived by his devoted friend, Delma Hamlette of the home; his son, Percell Hamlette; his children he raised as his own, Sean Hamlette, Polly Broadwater (Greg), Joe Dews, John Dews (Amanda),Bonnie McDaniel, Cassell Hamlette and Carletta Fitch (Joe); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Alma Wheeler (Ray) of Lynchburg; brothers, James Marshall (Joyce) of Phenix, Robert Baker (Olivia) of Amherst, and Robinson Baker, Jr of Lynchburg; aunt Mary Baker; uncle, William Baker (Annette); good friends, James Brogdon (Elaine), Herb Jones, Richard Haskins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
