Olean Canada Moore was called home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2023. She was born in Brookneal, Virginia to Joseph Canada and Maria Clark Canada on April 9, 1937. She was educated in Campbell County Public Schools in Campbell County, Virginia. Later she attended Maco Beauty College in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she graduated majoring in Beauty Culture. In Greensboro, she met and married William Kelly Moore, Sr. in 1960.

At an early age, Olean joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal, Virginia. While living in Greensboro, she attended East White Oak Baptist Church, and after moving to Northern Virginia became a member of Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Washington, DC. After joining Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church she graduated from Calvary Bible Institute in 1999.

Olean held positions in selling products, Life Insurance, and Real estate. Her major career positions included: Beautician, Banking at Wachovia Bank Greensboro as a teller and eventually loan officer, and later as an Accountant at the United States Postal Service in Greensboro North Carolina and Merrifield Post Office where she completed 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Canada; mother, Maria Canada; and granddaughter, Sheria Pannell.

Olean is survived by four children, Shelby Pannell (husband Bernard), William K. Moore Jr, Wayne Kenneth Moore, and Deborah Collins; grandchildren, Renee, Bernida, Wayne, Christin, Warren, and Marcus; great grandchildren, Malik, Asya, Amya, Tyree, Jaylen, Taleyah, Ayden, and Jakari; one uncle, James Clark, and a host of cousins.
