Oneza Lee DeJarnette Jones, age 100 of Nathalie, passed away on September 28, 2026 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Roy Lee DeJarnette and Gracie Ann Barbour DeJarnette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Willie Jones; four children, James, Richard, Joyce, and Gwendolyn; two sisters, Thelma DeJarnette and Zelma Smith; two brothers, James Edward Jones and Dea. Eugene Roy DeJarnette.

She leaves a lasting legacy of love and memories, cherished her by her daughters, Vivian Hubbard and Annette Wade; her devoted son, Roosevelt Jones; four sisters, Ollie Chambers, Dorothy Burks, Betty Slayton and Gaynell DeJarnette; one brother, Willie DeJarnette; one sister-in-law, Jessie Mae DeJarnette; two sons-in-law, Garther (Deal) Hubbard and Winfred Wade; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
