Mr. Otis Alvin Hamlett, 64 of Phenix, passed away on March 31, 2023 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Mr. Noble Hamlett and Mrs. Majorie Madison Hamlett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda H. Giles.

He is survived by two children, Marquita "Renee" Hamlett and Jerry Davis; three grandchildren, Hope Hamlett, Faith Hamlett and Kevin Puckett IV; two sisters, Tirwonder Armstead and Janice Jackson; one brother, Leonard "Bo" Edwards; a long-time friend, Connie Gaines; and a host of other relatives and friends.
