On Monday, February 22, 2021, Patricia "Pat" ONeal Trent, 72, went to be with her Heavenly Father by passing away peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Higdon; mother, Estelle Walker; and her sister, Joan Jarrett.

She is survived by her devoted, loyal husband, Henry Earl Trent, who she made a lifetime of memories with in their 54 years marriage; two daughters, Teresa Trent McCormick and husband, James and Tina Trent Ellington; and her son, Timothy Earl Trent (Amanda). She leaves to cherish her memory very special grandchildren and a great-grandchild who she spoiled at every opportunity, Beverly McCormick, Caleb and Calynn Trent, Taylor Newcomb and Dylan Ellington, Madison and Sydney Tuck, Paislee Grace Montgomery and Kirstyn McCormick. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Susie Higdon and Bill and Sharon Higdon; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Ricky Young, Peggy and James Eanes; stepsister, Peggy Sue Lee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
