Mrs. Phyllis Gail Jackson, age 64 of Naruna, passed away on December 20, 2021 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late James O. St. John and Joyce B. St. John.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis Jackson; and brother, Johnnie O. St. John.

She is survived by two daughters, Monica Hamlett and Tamara Graves (James), both of Gladys; three sons, Patrick Jackson (Krystle of Rustburg, Jordan Jackson (Danielle) of Lynchburg, Edward Jackson, Jr. (Markeya) of Naruna and Malcolm Skates; twenty-one grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Joyce St. John of Richmond, Linda St. John, Ruby Burford (Wayne), Mattie St. John, Barbara St. John (Bennie) of Naruna, Maxine Lewis (Anthony) of Brookneal; one brother, William St. John (Janice); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
